Volunteer Position with Potential to Become Paid

Soaring Place Ministry is a growing, Spirit-led church plant seeking a committed worship leader who feels called not only to lead worship, but also to help build and establish a healthy worship ministry from the ground up.

This is initially a volunteer leadership position, with the potential to develop into a paid role as the church grows and consistent funding becomes available. We want to be transparent about where we are while remaining open to what God may build through the right person and team.

About Soaring Place

Soaring Place is a Word-and-Spirit ministry centered on the presence of God, biblical discipleship, prayer, worship, spiritual growth, and equipping believers to live out their calling. We are building a relational ministry community rather than simply filling positions or creating a weekly program.

The Worship Leader’s Role

The Founding Worship Leader will:

• Lead Christ-centered, Spirit-led worship during gatherings and special ministry events
• Help establish the worship culture and musical direction of the church plant
• Recruit, encourage, and develop singers and musicians as the ministry grows
• Help organize rehearsals, song selections, schedules, and basic worship-team communication
• Work closely with the senior leaders to ensure worship supports the ministry’s vision and biblical values
• Create an atmosphere that welcomes both the presence of God and the participation of the congregation
• Help build a healthy team culture marked by humility, prayer, unity, preparation, and spiritual maturity
• Be willing to begin simply and grow the ministry patiently over time

We Are Looking for Someone Who:

• Has a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ and a lifestyle consistent with biblical Christian faith
• Believes the Holy Spirit and His gifts are active today
• Values both the truth of Scripture and sensitivity to the leading of the Holy Spirit
• Is spiritually mature, dependable, teachable, and able to work in unity with leadership
• Can lead vocally and play an instrument, preferably keyboard or guitar
• Has experience leading worship or serving faithfully on a worship team
• Is comfortable helping recruit and develop a team
• Understands that church planting requires flexibility, initiative, patience, and a servant’s heart
• Is willing to become part of the life and vision of Soaring Place—not simply provide music for services

Time Commitment

The schedule will begin modestly and develop as the ministry grows. Responsibilities may include rehearsals, worship gatherings, prayer meetings, planning, and occasional special events. The expected commitment and schedule will be discussed openly with each candidate.

Compensation

This position begins on a volunteer basis. As attendance, giving, and ministry resources grow, it may transition into a paid part-time position. Any future compensation would be discussed clearly and formally before paid responsibilities begin.
